Make sure foil-back label covers do not stick out from the book either on the spine or the cover.Print a new label if the first label gets smudged.Place foil-back label covers so there is an (approx.) equal amount on either side of the label on the front and back covers.Place burn-on label covers so they are completely covering the label.Try to place labels on as straight as possible.If label can totally fit on the spine do not overlap onto either cover.On the spine, the label should be one label width high from the bottom of the spine (not higher/not lower).If the label is on the cover and the barcode is too high do not cover any of the barcode cut the bottom of the label if possible.(Does not need to be lined up with the barcode.) If the label does not fit on the spine, place it on the top left of the book cover.Call number should be lined up on the top left of the label.Try to fit label on the spine as much as possible.One example of standard mailing label stock is Avery product number 5160. The Holding Barcodes report is formatted to print on standard mailing label stock: 3 across and 10 down, 30 to a sheet. The barcode font does not support lower case letters. Smart bar code labels are also supported, but the records must be in the system first. You can print these labels before entering records. Simple barcode labels include just the number, name of the library, and barcode symbology. LibraryWorld supports printing simple bar code labels that can be used for holding or patron records. The copy records are what are used to print labels. If you see 0/0 that means that you do not have any copy records and you will need to go into each record and add them. To find out if you have, return to your catalog and look at the column on the far right hand side labeled Copies/In. Make sure you have added at least one copy to your catalog records. I create my find set and select the Catalog Labels report, but nothing appears on the report. To print overdue notices and reports for a set of patron records: (Reports) *Please note: in order to print spine and pocket labels for a catalog record, the catalog record must have at least one holding (copy) record and your call number display must be set up in your General Settings.
